MOBILE MEDICAL CLINICS:

The mobile medical clinics provide medical care to residents in remote areas that have no access to healthcare and no means of transportation. Our healthcare focus is for children, the elderly, and abused & abandoned women. Transportation is a problem in most countries of Africa. It is very expensive and not even available in rural areas. Some of the villages are so remote they are not accessible by car, and can only be reached by walking long distances, and sometimes, wading through streams. Lazarus Momentum has purchased one three wheeled motorcycle for Masaka, Uganda mobile medical clinic, and one two wheeled motorcycle for the Ssenje Mobile Medical Clinic. This will enable the doctors to reach more remote areas and see more patients at a more affordable cost in those areas.

Each month Lazarus Momentum provides financial support to the doctors and to purchase medicine making it possible for them to bring healthcare these remote villages. Without this service, many would never have the opportunity be seen by a doctor.

We currently have two Mobile Medical Clinics in Uganda, and one in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC):

Masaka,Uganda:

Each month, Dr. Mutagubya Nicholas brings healthcare to 18 remote villages around Masaka, Uganda. He is doing an excellent job providing medical care to those that would otherwise be unable to receive it.

Dr. Nicholas also distributes basic needs such as rice, sugar, and soap.

Ssanje, Uganda:

In addition to seeing patients in the town of Ssenge, Uganda, Dr Namutebi Roy also travels to the remote areas around Ssenge to care for the elderly. She has devoted her life to helping those who cannot repay her.

Dr. Roy also distributes basic needs gifts such as rice, sugar, and soap to the elderly.

Walungu and Idjwi Island, DRC:

In addition to seeing patients at Centre Mwabanain (CMWA) in the town of Bukavu, DRC, Neema Byalungwe Nelly, M.D. travels to Walungu, DRC to provide healthcare to the abused and abandoned women and their children at the CMWA outreach center there. In addition, she also travels by boat from Bukavu to Idjwi Island addressing the medical needs of all the residents in three pygmy villages.

Lazarus Momentum, Inc. is funded by contributions from the participants of the “Medical Outreach Missions”, and from generous contributions from friends, family, and the general public. 100% of all funds donated to Lazarus Momentum are used for the benefit of our outreach program recipients and not to pay founders salaries or their trip expenses. All Medical Mission participants pay their own way or raise their own funds. Money donated for a specific purpose will be used for that purpose.
